Morning making cards

Hello,

I have had a lovely morning helping my daughter making lots of teacher thank you cards for the end of term.  She wanted them to have flowers on so we used an assortment of patterns from the Flower Frenzy booklet.  We also added some buttons to make them a little more interesting.  As she needed some cards for men we did some apples and a bus for the bus driver.  :-)

Please note - Apple and bus are not in flower frenzy booklet as I just made them up this morning.

Introducing Seaton Blanket Crochet Kits

Hello,

I am finally recovered from my horrible cough, which I have had over the past few weeks.  We did have a lovely family holiday at Centre Parcs, where I managed to do a little bit of crocheting and photography amongst all the activities.

Seaton blanket crochet packs are now available on Etsy.  They are £10 plus £3 postage in the UK, but if you live outside the UK and would like one please email me, ali.crafts@ntlworld.com.

The packs are available in three different colour ways. You get 6 balls of Stylecraft Special Yarn plus the free Seaton Blanket pattern.  I have loved making this blanket as it was a very interesting project, starting from a photograph my husband took to choosing the colours.

Seaton Blanket

Hello,

One of the latest projects I have been working on is a new blanket based on this photograph of Seaton Carew, Hartlepool.

My husband took the photo one cold spring morning.  I really liked the colours and the atmosphere in the photograph.  I decided to design a blanket as I thought the colours would work well in many settings.

The pattern is not quite ready yet but should be on Etsy soon.

Trip to Paris

Hello,

I haven't been able to post much lately as I have been away. My husband and I have been on a photography trip to Paris. 

It certainly was an experience looking at all different parts of Paris. Some days were very tiring but we managed to get lots of great photographs. I didn't get much chance to do any crocheting although I did get a lot of inspiration for new designs and patterns.

I love this tulip photograph and have started to design a new crochet blanket based on the colours...

Now I am back home, I have a few projects to finish. I have nearly completed remaking the holiday handbag in a different colour way. Just got the ends to darn in...

What a lovely morning here in the North East today.

I am busy trying to finish some hairpin crochet for a workshop I am teaching on Saturday. I don't think it will be finished in time looks like a very late night for me tonight....
