This is a free pattern for a small drawstring bag. It uses a 5.5 hook and you can use any chunky yarn or double knitting yarn but use two strands.

Using yarn of your choice - UK Terminology
1. Ch.4, work 9tr. into 4th ch. from hook, ss. to
join in 3rd ch. at beg. (10tr)
2. 3ch., 1tr. in same place as ss. to
join, 2tr. in each tr. to end, ss. to
join in top of 3ch. at beg. (20sts)
3. 3ch., 1tr. in same place as ss. to join
, * 1tr. in next st., 2tr. in next tr. rep. from * from * to end ss. to join in
3rd ch. (30sts)
4. 3ch., 1tr. in same place as ss. to join
, * 1tr. in next 2sts., 2tr. in next tr. rep. from * from * to end ss. to join
in 3rd ch. (40sts)
5. 3ch., work in back loop for this round,
1tr. in each tr. to end, ss. to join in 3rd ch.
6. 3ch., 1tr. in each tr. to end, ss. to
join in 3rd ch.
7. 3ch., 1tr. in each tr. to end, ss. to
join in 3rd ch.
8. 3ch., 1tr. in each tr. to end, ss. to
join in 3rd ch.
9. 3ch., 1tr. in each tr. to end, ss. to
join in 3rd ch.
10. 3ch., 1tr.
in each tr. to end, ss. to join in 3rd ch.
11. 3ch., work
in back loop for this round, 1tr. in each tr. to end, ss. to join in 3rd ch.
12. 1ch., 1dc.
in same place as ss. to join , * miss 1tr., 3tr. in next tr., miss 1tr., 1dc.
in next., rep. from * from * omitting last dc., ss. to join in 1st dc.

Make 2 chains
approx 80ch. or 18 inches (45.5cms)
thread
through the tr. on round 10 one from one side of the bag all round and the
other starting from the opposite side of the bag using the same holes all round to form the
drawstrings.
