Another Holiday

Hi

Beautiful morning this morning, I hope that you are having  a good day as well.

Last week was my Daughters birthday, we spent from Monday to Friday at Center Parcs, Whinfell Forest, it was a lovely week, the weather was fine and our Grandchildren really enjoyed themselves. We did lots of walking and visited the play park and soft play, George like catching Pokemon on his phone and Oliver loves the play areas.

I was working on the next blanket, during our holiday, now I have to type up the instructions and make another one to test them.

I have almost used 6 x 100grams of Stylecraft Double Knitting yarn
available in packs from my Etsy shop for your choice of colours, select that option and let me know which you would like.

The packs for the bright blanket will be enough yarn for this one.

Each pack cost £12 + VAT which includes postage and packing.
If you want to buy a pack ready to start this one please let me know which colours you would like.

I hope to have the pattern ready soon...

Don't forget Thursday is the Day for the next Square in the Blanket we started in March and also another flower pattern...

I will have to go and get one designed.

Hope you are having a lovely day..

Happy Crocheting.

New Design

Hello

I have been very busy this week working on a new blanket.
It is worked with simple granny squares and sampler stitch squares. There will be 12 different squares to choose from, to make the blanket with 20 squares. I have used 6 colours of Stylecraft Specail Double Knitting yarn.
I am out of my comfort zone with these colours, but I do think that they look good together.

I do like the new Mustard.....

Sorry

Good morning,

I am sorry that I missed the blog last week, my Grandson came to stay.

I don't know what is wrong with me, I seem to have lost my crochet mojo.

I start something then put it away and start something else, I used to get this feeling now and again but this time its lasted ages. Perhaps its the summer holidays....

I found a cross stitch picture that I started many years ago so I have been doing some of that. It was started once when we were on holiday, filed away and forgotten.

On a happier note we had a lovely couple of days at the British Wool Show in York, it was super to chat with all the lovely visitors, it was very strange for me this time because I set up on my own and managed a day manning the stand by myself. Phil could not come until the Friday night. Thank you to everyone who stopped to shop......

Big news

All of my designs on Ravelry and Etsy are now £2.40 each

This is a special offer for a short while.

Another week away and August Free Flower

Hi

I am sorry that there was no blog last week, we had an other week away.

We took my Daughter, her Husband and children away while the downstairs and staircase of their house was being painted. We didn't think that Oliver would have coped having everything moved. We rented a lovely cottage in Lockton, not far from Whitby or Pickering. The boys loved the garden and the cottage was beautiful.

We went on the little train at Scarborough and the NY moors railway from Goathland to Whitby, where we spent most of our time in Harry's bar, a cafe that we love going to... because it was raining. Oliver loves trains...  George enjoyed collecting Pokemon, he walked the full length of Marine Drive in both directions.

Progress on our bathroom and downstairs toilet, they only need painting now, I am very pleased with the results.

Bathroom and Twiddle Muffs

Hi

Sorry its a day late but bathroom is well underway..

I feel so sorry for the 2 very hard workers doing the job in this heat wave, there was no air to cool them down yesterday..

Out with the old

Monday everything is gone

Tuesday
Starting to see the difference

Wednesday
Tiling and cupboards are going in today.

Here is an update on the drawer tidying from last week,

How come you take loads out and make things tidy and the drawers are still full

On the plus side I found lots of WIPs ( works in progress ) how long some of them have been there I don't know, there was some Hardanger, Quilting, Kits and Cross Stitch, I will get back to them one day.

This week I have been making bunting and twiddle muffs to go to British Wool Show in York.

For those of you who have not heard of Twiddle muffs they are knitted or crocheted muffs with buttons ribbons and crochet bits sewn inside and out.
These muffs are for people with dementia it sometimes helps them to calm down, by giving them something to do with their fingers.

It is still hot and sticky here today, too hot for me to garden and too sticky to crochet so I think I may have to find something else to do.

Hope you are all coping with the weather,

Ali xxxx
